It is eerie how many similarities can be drawn between the Pendle Hill witch trials and the Salem witch trials. These comparisons include the idea of children being utilized at accusers and witnesses in the trials with the honesty of their statements rarely being questioned because they were children and therefore thought to be incapable of lying about such preposterous claims. I also think it is a little ironic that when she was an adult, Jennet Device ended up being accused of the very thing she had accused others of during her childhood: witchcraft.
